DESCRIPTION OF THE FOUNDATION

The Foundation is a nonprofit organization run by a board of directors, chaired by a member of the board and closely assisted by a co-chair and secretary, and a treasurer. We solicit leaders to be board members drawn from medical, government and religious communities.

Raise up the Roof Foundation focuses mostly on sub-Saharan Africa, challenged by meningitis, measles, civil war, hunger, and active terrorism, which are all sadly impacting very negatively on children and PWD.

Physical Operation of the Foundation:

The foundation provides special education suitable for the empowerment of children, adolescents, and young adults with disabilities. The foundation through seminars, colloquiums, conferences, and campaigns will advocate for the rights and care of children, women, adolescents, and young adults with disabilities.

Funding of the Foundation:

We look for funding from people of goodwill in general (individuals, state agencies, funding institutions, etc.) and through donations (in cash or in kind). An annual financial report and financial statement is made available to all members and donors.

Terms:

The foundation is fundamentally Catholic, but very inclusive, and respects human rights, thereby aiming toward the realization of the common good, which is basic for human flourishing.
